I create striking portraits of your eyes at my nationwide pop-up events — or you can hire me for private and corporate occasions where guests leave with an unforgettable memory.
How It Works
Creating your artwork is simple, but the result is extraordinary:
Step 1 – Attend a pop-up or book an event
Find me at one of my UK-wide iris photography events or hire me to bring the studio directly to your gathering.
Step 2 – The capture
I use professional macro photography equipment and precision lighting to reveal the intricate details of your iris in stunning clarity.
Step 3 – The artwork
Your image is carefully edited and delivered within up to 5 working days (though most are sent within just two or three). You’ll receive a digital file and can also order optional prints or request special edits such as the ever-popular Infinity, Clash, or Smokey.
Behind The Lens
I’ve been taking photographs for over 40 years, with the last 15 including macro work — getting up close to the hidden details most people overlook. Alongside photography, I’ve always loved art, from sketching portraits and wildlife to architectural drawings. One day, I hope to swap pencils for paints.
Iris photography brings these passions together. With professional equipment and decades of experience, I can capture every fibre of the eye in razor-sharp detail. But for me, the real creativity happens in the editing — shaping each image by hand, without shortcuts, filters, or automation. Every eye deserves its own treatment.
When you attend one of my iris photography pop-ups, you’re not only taking home a piece of art; you’re also invited to join Eyes of Britain: Life Through a 1,000 Eyes — a nationwide project documenting modern Britain one iris at a time.

Iris Photography Pop-Up Events
Throughout the year, I host relaxed, friendly pop-up sessions across the UK. From cosy cafés to community halls and local pubs, these events give individuals, couples, and families the chance to have their irises transformed into captivating works of art.
Pop-up spaces often fill quickly, so the best way to make sure you don’t miss out is to join my mailing list. You’ll be the first to hear when I’m bringing iris photography to your area.
Home visits
Can’t make the date that I’m in your area hosting a pop-up? Perhaps you have a family member with a physical disability that makes it difficult to attend a pop-up event? Or perhaps you simply want to have a more relaxed experienced where each participant having their eye photographed can choose which eye is photographed?
Then my home visit iris photography service is for you!
I’m generally in the area of a confirmed pop-up a week before the event. This provides me an opportunity to explore the local area for my wider photography project and also provide home visits for either portrait photography sessions or iris photography sessions.
Home visit pricing
A home visit incurs a travel and setup cost and then the capturing of the irises themselves.
The costs are:
- £30 call out / set up fee (assuming you’re within 10 miles of my location)
- £30 per eye photographed

Came to the Touring Eye last Sunday with my wife to experience this as we’ve never done anything like this before. We arrived in good time sat down and waited to be seen, We were made to feel very comfortable by Elton who explained the painless process from start to finish, he was a very cool guy who made you feel at ease and was very professional (even better, he was a biker too, a man after my own heart 😁). The process was over in a couple of minutes, just a couple of photographs and that was that all done!!! We have just received our images and our blown away by the results.
